Gandhinagar: In view of the large number of vacant posts of teachers and complains regarding absence of teachers in schools in Kutch district, Gujarat government has given its nod for special provision of recruitment of only Kutch-based persons as teachers in government schools in Kutch district. The Chief Minister and both ministers who have portfolio of Education department agreed to the demand of recruitment of only local teachers in Kutch district. There was a long pending demand from Kutch district that only local teachers from within the district of Kutch should be recruited so that they can teach wholeheartedly. The government has in response to this not only approved new recruitment for schools of Kutch district but also decided to make a special provision that only those who reside in Kutch would be recruited for the job of teachers in Kutch. Such teachers will not be able to apply for inter district transfer and they will need to do the job in Kutch district only for life-time. DeshGujarat
