Several bridges in Vadodara to be shut for repair / resurfacing

Vadodara: Several key bridges in the city will be partially or fully closed for commuting due to repair and resurfacing work by the Vadodara Municipal Corporation. As a result, around 2.10 lakh residents will be affected and will need to use alternative routes for some time.

One side of the Akota-Dandia Bazar Bridge and the Chhani-Chhayapuri railway overbridge (ROB) will remain closed. The one-way closure of the Chhani Railway Overbridge will last for 60 days, from April 22 to June 20, for resurfacing work. Consequently, vehicle movement on the route leading to the overbridge via Chhani Bajwa T-Point will be restricted. However, traffic in both directions will continue on the opposite side of the road.

The Akota-Dandiya Bazaar Overbridge will also be partially shut for 45 days, from March 19 to May 2. One side of the bridge will remain closed due to repair work. The route from Maharani Nursing Home Crossroads to Akota Bridge Crossroads will be closed, while traffic will be allowed on the other side of the road.

Meanwhile, Harinagar Bridge will be completely closed to commuters for 30 days, from April 10 to May 10. Citizens traveling between Natu Bhai Circle and Yash Complex will need to use the service road. No vehicles will be allowed on the bridge during this period. DeshGujarat
