Mehsana: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today arrested Bhupendrakumar Parmar, a Circle Officer (Deputy Mamlatdar) at the Mamlatdar Office in Becharaji, in a bribe case involving ₹7,500.
According to the complaint, the complainant’s father had filed an online application to include his and his brother’s names in their inherited land records. Parmar allegedly demanded a bribe of ₹50,000 for processing the application. After negotiations, the amount was settled at ₹10,000.
Unwilling to pay the bribe, the complainant approached the ACB Mehsana, which set up a trap. During the operation, Parmar accepted ₹7,500 from the complainant at his office, following which he was caught red-handed. Further investigations are underway. DeshGujarat
