Ahmedabad: A 15-year-old girl, fatally ran over a 43-year-old lawyer, Kamlesh Nainani, in Kubernagar on Thursday night. The teenager lost control of the car while taking a turn inside Matru Chhaya Society, striking Nainani, who was sitting outside his home with his father and a friend.

The accident occurred around 10 pm when the speeding car first knocked down Kamlesh’s father, Nanakram Nainani, before hitting Kamlesh and throwing him onto the road. A side tire ran over his body, causing severe injuries. Residents rushed to the scene, but the teenage driver fled. Kamlesh was taken to Rajasthan Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at 12:13 am on Friday.

Police have registered a case against the minor and are investigating whether an adult family member allowed her to drive. “If found responsible, her parents or guardians will also face legal action,” said a senior officer from the G Division Traffic Police. DeshGujarat
