The SITCO was established in 2017, as a project-specific Joint Venture Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to modernize the Surat Railway Station and GSRTC bus terminal. The project aims to develop a transit-oriented commercial hub while integrating these facilities with the Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS), city bus services, Surat Metro, and other transportation networks, creating multi-modal interchange. The area surrounding the railway station and regional bus terminal will also be transformed into a Multi-Modal Transportation Hub. DeshGujarat
