Mother Dairy to set up new plant in Gujarat: Report

Ahmedabad: Mother Dairy, a well-known milk brand in Delhi and northern India, will be setting up a plant in Gujarat, a news report stated. Mother Dairy plans to invest ₹1,400-₹1,500 crore over the next 2-3 years to expand its production capacity, Managing Director Manish Bandlish told a newspaper on Wednesday.

The company, which currently operates 12 plants, is not only upgrading existing facilities but also setting up three new plants in Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, and Nagpur (Maharashtra). Construction of the Nagpur dairy plant is already underway.

For FY25, Mother Dairy expects a 13% revenue increase from ₹15,000 crore to ₹17,000 crore, with projections crossing ₹20,000 crore in FY26, reflecting a growth of over 17%. A wholly owned subsidiary of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), the company primarily serves Delhi-NCR, contributing 65% of total sales, and has expanded into Mumbai and Kolkata.
