Ahmedabad: To enhance passenger convenience and meet growing travel demand, Western Railway has announced it has decided to permanently add an additional AC Chair Car coach to Train No. 12009/12010 Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express, effective from 31^st March, 2025. This will provide opportunity to more passengers to get seat in this premier train.

Railways informed  in a note -‘As o­ne of India’s premier Shatabdi Express trains, this train offers a fast, comfortable, and efficient travel experience with modern amenities. Known for its high-speed connectivity between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, this augmentation will further enhance passenger capacity, which will directly add an extra capacity of more than 65,000 passengers annually.’
