Centre of Excellence in Medical Devices to be set up at NIPER Gujarat

Gandhinagar: WAPCOS Limited, a Government of India undertaking, has invited online electronic tenders for the construction of a Centre of Excellence in Medical Devices at the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Gujarat. The project aims to enhance research and development capabilities in the medical device sector.
The estimated cost of the project is ₹17,63,13,633 (₹17.63 crore), inclusive of all taxes. The project, located opposite the Air Force Station in Palaj, Gandhinagar, is expected to be completed within 15 months, with an additional three-month trial period.
The Centre of Excellence in Medical Devices at NIPER Gujarat will be constructed under the supervision of WAPCOS Limited, following detailed technical specifications and approved structural designs. The contractor will be responsible for material procurement, transportation, and execution of all works as per the tender document and engineer-in-charge instructions.
The project will require monthly drone video documentation of construction progress and submission of a PERT/CPM chart for stage-wise planning. Additionally, the contractor must obtain all necessary approvals, NoCs, and clearances from local authorities, with associated costs borne by the contractor.
