Who is Former Dean trapped by Gujarat ACB in bribe case after he allegedly received Rs. 15 lakh sum as a Middleman

Gandhinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has trapped and nabbed a former Dean Girish Parmar in a bribe case. Parmar is former Dean of Government Dental College & Hospital in Asarva Civil hospital campus in Ahmedabad. He was on this post untill less than two years ago.

He is B.D.S., M.D.S. (Conservative & Endodontics) PhD. He had been a Tutor in conservative dentistry from 14.05.85 to 28.11.90. Assistant Professor in conservative dentistry from 29.11.1990 to 02.03.1994. Associate Professor in conservative dentistry from 03.03.1994 to 28.11.1995. Professor & Head in conservative dentistry from 29.11.1995. He was Dean, Govt. Dental College & Hospital, Ahmedabad from 27.07.2005. He was additional Director (Dental), Govt. of Gujarat from Dec. 2018.

According to his online profile he won “Jewel Of India” Award in year 2005. 2. “Life time Achievement Gold Medal”Award in year 2005. “Late Mrs. Manoramaben Manek Patel Dental Research” Award in year 2005. He was Dental Surgeon to Governor of Gujarat. Dean of the Year, Global Healthcare Leadership Award winner in 2018. IACDE Outstanding achievement of the Year award winner in 2018. He was a member nominated to Dental Council of India by State Govt during 1994-1000. He was also a Senate Member of Gujarat University (2009.to 2012).

Dr. Girish Parmar is nabbed by ACB as a middleman who allegedly accepted the advance installment of Rs. 15 lakh out of total demanded bribe sum of Rs. 30 lakh on behalf of Dinesh Parmar, Additional Secretary of Investigation Branch in Department of Health, Government of Gujarat.
