Surat: It is said that devotion and faith know no bounds—and this stands true. A 6,000-kg boondi laddu will be offered to Lord Hanuman on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti at Atal Ashram in Pal area of Surat.
Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated on the Purnima Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Chaitra, which falls on April 12, 2025, this year. For the occasion, a massive laddu made with sweet boondi and dry fruits like cashews and almonds is being prepared. The laddu will be offered to Lord Hanuman on Saturday and later distributed among devotees as prasad.
The preparation of the laddu began on April 9. Ingredients include 2,000 kg of besan boondi, 2,000 kg of sugar, 100 kg of dry fruits, and 80–90 tins of ghee. In addition, arrangements for prasad distribution to around 35,000 to 30,000 people are being made at the Ashram.
Earlier, in 2017 as well, a 6,500-kg laddu was offered to Lord Hanuman on Hanuman Jayanti at the same ashram. DeshGujarat
