Ahmedabad: The district education officer (DEO) of Ahmedabad city has launched an inquiry against Tripada English School in Ghatlodia and Zydus School in Vejalpur following complaints that students admitted under the Right to Education (RTE) Act were deliberately failed.
DEO Rohit Chaudhary ordered the probe after reports surfaced that 15 RTE students were allegedly failed by the two schools. Officials have been directed to visit the schools, verify documents, and interact with the affected parents. The schools have been asked to provide answer sheets and re-exam results to the parents in the presence of DEO officials. A detailed report is to be submitted for further action.
Complaints allege that students from Classes 5 and 8 were failed, citing state guidelines that permit it for these grades. DEO officials said the investigation aims to uphold transparency and protect the rights of RTE students. DeshGujarat
