Western Railways to run Mumbai-Rajkot Tejas Superfast Special Train

Rajkot: Western Railway has announced a special summer train service between Mumbai Central and Rajkot to cater to the increased travel demand during the holiday season. The Tejas Special (Tri-weekly) will operate with train numbers 09005 and 09006, offering convenient travel options for passengers planning trips between the two major cities.

Train No. 09005, the Mumbai Central – Rajkot Special, will run tri-weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, starting from April 21, 2025, to May 28, 2025. The train will depart from Mumbai Central at 23:20 hrs and is scheduled to arrive in Rajkot at 11:45 hrs the next day.

For the return journey, Train No. 09006, the Rajkot – Mumbai Central Special, will also operate tri-weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, from April 22, 2025, to May 29, 2025. The train will depart from Rajkot at 18:30 hrs and reach Mumbai Central at 07:30 hrs the next day.

The special train will provide halts at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad, Viramgam, Surendranagar, and Wankaner stations in both directions, ensuring connectivity for passengers along the route.

The train will have a composition of First AC, AC 2-Tier, and AC 3-Tier coaches, providing a range of travel options for passengers.

Booking for Train Nos. 09005 and 09006 will commence on April 19, 2025, at all Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counters and on the IRCTC website. DeshGujarat
