Ahmedabad: The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) last week announced special tour packages for Somnath, Nadabet, and Vadnagar. Among them is a 2-day, 1-night Volvo tour package from Ahmedabad to Somnath, starting April 28, 2025. The tour departs daily from Ranip, Ahmedabad, at 6:00 AM and reaches Somnath by 4:00 PM.

The package includes travel by a modern AC Volvo bus, hotel accommodation, and guided visits to key religious and historical sites such as the Somnath Temple (including the Light & Sound Show), Triveni Sangam Aarti, Bhalka Tirth, Ram Mandir, and Geeta Mandir. Travelers can choose from Deluxe, Standard, and Suite stay options. However, as of now only Deluxe package is available.

Fares are set at ₹4,000 for single sharing and ₹7,000 for double occupancy (twin sharing). Hotel bookings can be made during the ticket reservation process, with Somnath Trust Hotel as the primary accommodation partner.

The online booking portal allows users to choose journey dates, select seats, and enter traveler details, including valid ID proof. Payment can be made through UPI, debit/credit cards, or net banking. An OTP-based confirmation system ensures secure transactions.

Step 1: Select Journey Details

• Visit GSRTC’s official website.

• Choose the start date of your journey (from April 28 onwards).

• Enter the number of passengers.

• Click on “Select” to proceed.

Step 2: View Bus & Seat Details

• Look for the package ID: 0600ABRSMSBGPKG.

• Confirm:

  • Departure: 6:00 AM (from Ranip, Ahmedabad)

  • Destination: Somnath

  • Bus Type: Non-stop AC Volvo

• Click “Select Seat/s” and choose your preferred seat(s).

Step 3: Enter Passenger Information

• Fill in the required details:

  • Full Name

  • Email ID

  • Mobile Number

  • Age & Gender

Step 4: Select Hotel Room

• Hotel partner: Somnath Trust Hotel

• Check-in: 11:00 AM | Check-out: 12:00 PM (next day)

• Room sharing options:

  • ₹4,000 for Single Sharing

  • ₹7,000 for Double Occupancy (Twin Sharing)

• Enter:

  • Number of rooms

  • Number of adults and children (0–5 years)

  • Address

  • Government ID Type & Number (Aadhar, Voter ID, Passport, or Driving License)

Step 5: Complete Booking & Payment

• Review your details.

• Submit to receive an OTP.

• Enter the OTP to proceed to the payment page.

• Choose your payment method:

  • UPI

  • Debit/Credit Card

  • Net Banking

• Upon successful payment, you’ll receive a confirmation email or SMS.
