AMTS Rolls Out WhatsApp Numbers for Passenger Complaints
April 26, 2025
Ahmedabad: Commuters in Ahmedabad using the city bus service now have a more convenient way to voice their grievances regarding the Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS). The AMTS has announced the launch of a dedicated WhatsApp number for passengers to lodge complaints and report issues.
Whether it’s related to bus unavailability, uncleanliness, or any other service deficiency, commuters can now directly send photos or videos of their concerns via WhatsApp to the following numbers: +91 85111 71941 and +91 85111 65179.
Based on the complaints received, AMTS authorities will investigate and take necessary action against the responsible driver or contractor. With over one lakh passengers using AMTS buses daily, the new complaint system aims to enhance service quality and ensure safer travel.
Previously, complaints could only be lodged through telephone calls, said AMTS Committee Chairman Dharamsinh Desai. However, with WhatsApp now available, passengers can instantly report incidents with photo and video evidence from the spot, allowing faster investigations and prompt action. DeshGujarat
