150 MW Gujarat solar project of NTPC becomes fully operational

New Delhi: NTPC Green Energy Limited on Friday announced that its subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy, has achieved full commercial operation of its 150 MW Gujarat Solar PV project. The milestone was confirmed following a certification issued by the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) on April 30, 2025.
According to the company, the final phase of 60 MW capacity began commercial operations on April 16, 2025. The earlier phases—60 MW and 30 MW—were commissioned on July 29, 2024, and December 11, 2024, respectively. The project is part of the 500 MW solar capacity awarded under the GUVNL (Phase XII) tender and marks a significant step in India’s renewable energy expansion. DeshGujarat
