Amreli SOG Detains Maulana; 7 WhatsApp Groups Linked to Pakistan, Afghanistan Found

Amreli: The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Amreli Police today detained Maulana Mohammad Fazal Abdul Aziz Sheikh and found seven suspicious groups linked to Pakistan and Afghanistan on his WhatsApp.
According to the details, the SOG became suspicious of Maulana Mohammad Fazal Abdul Aziz Sheikh, a teacher at a madrasa in Himkhimdipara, Dhari, while investigating illegal immigrants. When asked to provide identity documents, the Maulana failed to do so, prompting his detention and questioning at the Dhari police station. During this interrogation, it was revealed that he hails from Juhapura, Ahmedabad.
A case was filed against the Maulana, and his phone was seized, revealing that he had seven groups on his WhatsApp allegedly linked to Pakistan and Afghanistan, prompting further investigation.
Amreli District Police Chief Sanjay Kharat confirmed that the Maulana’s detention was prompted by his suspicious activities. Prima facie, it looks like the Maulana has a potential connection to Pakistan, and further interrogation is underway to confirm the details. The case is being handled by SOG PI R.D. Chaudhary.
