GIFT City to purchase 64-meter aerial turntable ladder for firefighting & rescue in high-rises

Gandhinagar: In a significant move to bolster its emergency response capabilities, Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) is set to procure a 64-meter aerial turntable ladder to aid in firefighting and rescue operations in high-rise buildings.
The tender process is already underway, with GIFTCL floating a tender for the design, manufacture, and supply of the 64-meter aerial turntable ladder. The estimated cost of the purchase is around ₹20.66 crore. The tender process began on April 3, 2025. The supply of the equipment is expected to be completed within 20 months from the date of contract finalization.
According to the tender document, the scope of the bid includes the complete supply of the equipment as per technical specifications, including testing and commissioning at the original manufacturer’s facility, with delivery at Mumbai port.
The scope also covers transportation, customs clearance, delivery to GIFT City, one-year comprehensive insurance, RTO passing, on-site testing and commissioning, and training on equipment operation and maintenance.
This procurement is part of GIFT City’s broader plan to enhance infrastructure and ensure safety in one of India’s most ambitious smart city projects, which houses numerous high-rise commercial and residential buildings. DeshGujarat
