Gandhinagar: The state govenemnt today announed that Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS) portal has seen over 2.7 lakh student registrations as of 2 pm today for undergraduate admissions for the academic year 2025–26.

The quick registration process through the GCAS portal commenced on March 25, 2025 while full form filling and online application verification started on May 9.

According to official data by the Gujarat Gievemt, 2,71,628 students have registered on the portal so far. Of these, 1,96,279 students have selected their preferred college-programme combinations, and 1,93,217 have submitted their online applications. The last date to apply for the first round of admissions is May 21, 2025, and the verification process will conclude on May 23.

The government has also made announcements regarding GCAS on radio in various cities to ensure that students and parents can make maximum use of the GCAS portal, said an offcial release.  DeshGujarat
