Surat: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today nabbed Kailashchandra Baluram Meena, 42, posted as In-charge Station Superintendent (Class-3) at Ukai-Songadh Railway Station, in a bribe case involving ₹2,000.
According to the ACB, the accused had been demanding monthly bribes of ₹2,000 from sub-contractors responsible for providing meals to pilot guards and railway staff. He allegedly threatened to report poor sanitation conditions and recommend the cancellation of their contracts unless the bribe was paid.
During a trap operation conducted with the complainant’s cooperation, Meena was caught accepting the bribe at the guard rest house near the government quarters at Ukai Railway Station. The ACB recovered the entire bribe amount from the accused, and further investigation is underway. DeshGujarat
