Water supply in parts of Surat to face full or partial disruption on May 27

Surat: Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has announced that the water supply from Katargam Water Works will be completely shut off or available at low pressure on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, due to essential maintenance work. The disruption will occur between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
This temporary suspension is necessary as Torrent Power Ltd. will carry out important upgrades at the old substation near Katargam Water Works, including the replacement of a metering unit to meet increased KVA demand. Water supply will be fully stopped in areas listed under Annexure-1 and will be available at low pressure in areas listed under Annexure-2.
