PM Modi in Dahod; dedicates Railways’ Locomotive Manufacturing Plant, launches other projects

Dahod: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived this morning in Vadodara for his two-day visit to his home state of Gujarat. After holding a roadshow in Vadodara, Prime Minister Modi arrived in Dahod, where he dedicated to the nation the Locomotive Manufacturing Plant of Indian Railways. This plant will produce 9,000 HP electric locomotives for both domestic use and export. He also flagged off the first electric locomotive manufactured at the plant. These locomotives will help increase the freight loading capacity of Indian Railways. They will be equipped with regenerative braking systems and are designed to reduce energy consumption, contributing to environmental sustainability.

Later, at a public meeting, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate multiple development projects worth over ₹24,000 crore in Dahod. These include railway projects and various initiatives of the Government of Gujarat.
