Where did it rain in Gujarat? 24-hour rainfall data

Dangs: The intensity of the ongoing pre-monsoon spell of rainfall across Gujarat declined on Thursday, with only 35 talukas receiving rain, and that too, less than an inch. Isolated showers continued in several talukas during the 24-hour period ending at 6:00 a.m. on May 30, with the highest rainfall recorded in the Dangs and Bharuch districts.

According to data shared by the State Emergency Operation Center, Gandhinagar, Dang-Ahwa received the most rain, registering 24 mm (0.94 inch), followed by Jhagadia (22 mm) and Bharuch city (21 mm). Subir (21 mm) and Valia (19 mm) also contributed to Bharuch district’s prominent presence on the list of places that witnessed rainfall.

Other parts of the state, including Songadh in Tapi (15 mm), Dhandhuka in Ahmedabad (14 mm), and Karjan in Vadodara (14 mm), also saw some rain. Most other talukas reported very light showers, ranging from 1 mm to 10 mm.

Rainfall activity has tapered off compared to earlier in the week, bringing temporary relief. However, local authorities remain alert as pre-monsoon conditions continue to develop ahead of the onset of the southwest monsoon in the state. DeshGujarat
