Youths Caught on CCTV Placing Hair in Food to Avoid Paying Bill in Rajkot Eatery
June 02, 2025
Rajkot: At a time when news reports of contamination in food served at eateries frequently surface, three youths in the city made a bizarre attempt to get free food by planting strands of hair in their meal. However, their actions were caught on a CCTV camera.
The incident took place at a café named Momonese on Sadhu Vaswani Road, where the trio attempted to deceive the staff by fabricating a food hygiene complaint.
The scheme began with two of the youths subtly pulling strands of hair from their own heads and placing them into their food. Once the ‘evidence’ was in place, the group created a scene, loudly accusing the restaurant of poor hygiene and criticizing the owner for low standards.
Their entire confrontation was recorded on CCTV, providing clear evidence of their manipulative tactics.
Adding to the brazenness of the act, one of them even demanded a DNA test on the hair, trying to shift the blame onto the restaurant and escape without paying. This move appeared to be a calculated ploy to exploit food safety concerns.
However, the drama didn’t last long. The CCTV footage clearly captured the trio’s premeditated actions, exposing their false complaints.
While it’s crucial for restaurants to maintain hygiene and food safety standards, this incident highlights how such concerns can also be misused for dishonest gain. DeshGujarat
