Surat: The Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) today announced that its Hydraulic Department will undertake critical infrastructure work at the Udhna Chikuwadi Water Distribution Station in South (Udhna-A) Zone. Due to this, water supply in some areas of the South Zone will be disrupted on June 23 and 24.

In a press note, the SMC stated that on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 8:30 AM, the newly constructed 40-lakh-litre underground water tank at the Udhna Chikuwadi station will be connected to the existing underground tank, along with cleaning work of the existing facility. As a result, regular evening water supply from Chikuwadi station to Old Bamroli and Govalk area, as well as from ESR-SE-18 in T.P. 58 (New Bamroli), will not be available on June 23.

Additionally, morning water supply on June 24, 2025, may be partially disrupted / available at low pressure / nearly unavailable in some areas.

Citizens are requested to take note of this temporary inconvenience and store water in advance for essential needs. Please use water judiciously. SMC apologizes for the inconvenience caused and seeks public cooperation.

  Old Bamroli, Govalk area, Ashapuri Society, Apeksha Nagar, Ambika Nagar, Devendra Nagar, Ganpat Nagar, Karshan Nagar, Heera Nagar, Karmyogi Society, and nearby areas.
• From ESR-SE-18 in T.P. 58 (New Bamroli):
  Geetanagar, Harsiddhi Nagar, Tulsidham Society, Ravinagar, Satyanarayan Nagar, Jay Ambe Nagar, Rameshwaram Green, Rameshwaram Hills, Shrungal Residency, Maratha Nagar, Kailash Nagar, and nearby areas.

Morning water supply disruption on June 24, 2025:

• From Udhna (Chikuwadi) Water Distribution Station:
  Pandesara Gamthal, Housing Board, Avirbhav Society, Kailash Nagar, and surrounding areas.
