Under the influence of the upper-air cyclonic circulation over Saurashtra & Kutch and the adjoining northeast Arabian Sea, a low-pressure area has formed over Saurashtra & Kutch as of 08:30 IST on June 28, 2025. The associated upper-air cyclonic circulation, extending up to 7.6 km and tilting southward with height, persists.
Yesterday’s east-west trough now runs from the upper-air cyclonic circulation over southwest Bangladesh and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal to northeast Madhya Pradesh, across Jharkhand and north Chhattisgarh, between 3.1 km and 4.5 km above mean sea level. This is currently not significant for Gujarat.
The upper-air cyclonic circulation over southwest Rajasthan, which extended up to 5.8 km above mean sea level and tilted southwestward, has now become less marked. DeshGujarat
