Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today inaugurated the “Yoga Figure Sculpture” at Arrows Food Crossroads, leading to Yogacharya Swami Rajarshi Muni Marg in the Sarkhej Ward of the South West Zone. The unveiling took place in the presence of Mayor Pratibhaben Rakeshkumar Jain.

“Inspired by Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi’s global efforts to promote yoga, the sculpture aims to beautify the city’s public spaces and raise awareness about the importance of yoga and health. The adjoining road is being developed as Yoga Marg,” the civic body said.

The sculpture stands 12 feet high, 10 feet wide, and weighs 3 tons. It is made entirely from MS scrap and other waste materials. The base has a radius of 10 feet and a height of 4 feet. The total cost of the sculpture is estimated at Rs. 9.50 lakhs. DeshGujarat
