Ahmedabad: In two separate incidents, Customs officials at the Foreign Post Office (FPO) in Ahmedabad intercepted parcels containing ganja that had been shipped from Thailand.
The first case was reported on June 25, when a suspicious parcel was opened during inspection. Officials discovered 504.5 grams of ganja hidden inside two wall clocks. The drugs were packed in plastic and falsely declared as regular goods.
The second seizure took place on June 30. A parcel labeled as containing “dry fruit strawberry durant” was found to conceal 268.5 grams of ganja inside a plastic pouch, placed alongside a packet of dried strawberries.
Both seizures were made during routine inspections. DeshGujarat
