Gandhinagar: As many as 174 talukas of Gujarat witnessed rainfall in 24 hours period ending Sunday morning. Of them 28 talukas had one inch or more rain. Danta in Banaskantha topped with 4.45 inch rainfall, Ranavav had 4.37 inch, Lakhan 2.8, Amirgadh 2.7, Palanpur 2.56 inch rain. All of these places received heavy rains.

Among the places where moderate rains were witnessed were Dhroaji – 2.4,Deesa 2.3, Morbi 2.20, Manavadar 2.0, Nadiad 2.01, Bhabhar 1.93, Deodar 1.9, Dantiwada 1.89, Kalyanpur 1.9, Vadgam 1.69 among others.

This spell of rainfall was a renewed activity after a break of a few days, in which no or negligible rainfall was witnessed in parts of the State.
