Vadodara Police Mandates Helmet for Both Rider & Pillion Rider from Sept 15
August 09, 2025
Vadodara: The Vadodara Police has made helmets mandatory for two-wheeler riders starting September 15. This announcement was made by Vadodara Police Commissioner Narasimha Komar during a public event.
Commissioner Komar stated, “From September 15, the helmet rule will be enforced strictly. Prior to that, we will inform all two-wheeler dealers in the city to provide two helmets — one for the rider and one for the pillion — as per the rules when selling a vehicle. Helmet sellers must ensure they sell only BIS-certified helmets, and people should buy such helmets and wear them wherever they go — whether to school, college, the workplace, or the market. Do not ride a motorcycle without wearing a helmet.”
The mandatory helmet rule will be enforced with a zero-tolerance approach from September 15. Before that, the police appeals to citizens to start wearing helmets voluntarily. DeshGujarat
