Gujarat board to upload student records on DigiLocker
August 28, 2025
Gandhinagar: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) is preparing to upload all academic records of its students to DigiLocker. The education department has given its approval, and work is in progress to integrate the data with the government-backed digital storage system.
Board chairman M.A. Pandya said that officials are coordinating with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology to complete the process. Around 15 lakh students appear for the board’s exams each year, and records will be uploaded gradually, beginning with the most recent batches.
This move builds on an earlier initiative in which over 5 crore marksheets of classes 10 and 12—dating back to 1952—were digitised. These records too will be added to DigiLocker in phases. The platform, already used by 109 academic institutions as mandated by the UGC, allows safe and permanent storage of student documents. DeshGujarat
