Ahmedabad: Western Railway officials on Sunday caught a fake travelling ticket examiner (TTE) who was misleading passengers in a general coach at Ahmedabad railway station.
According to officials, the man was impersonating a TTE on train number 16613 running between Vadodara and Ahmedabad. Acting on a complaint received through the railway helpline, deputy station superintendent (commercial) Sachin Jadav, ticket checker Rajesh, and Railway Protection Force (RPF) staff intercepted him upon arrival at Ahmedabad station.
During questioning, the suspect identified himself as Aman Prakash but was unable to produce a valid railway identity card. Given the gravity of the offence, he was handed over to the Government Railway Police (GRP), Ahmedabad, for further legal action. DeshGujarat
