September 16, 2025
Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will celebrate his 75th birthday tomorrow, September 17. To mark the occasion, a special play reflecting PM Modi’s journey from his humble childhood in Vadnagar to his rise as a global leader is being showcased across Gujarat. On Wednesday, the play will come alive at Soneriya Block Ground in the Saraspur-Bapunagar area of the city.
The live event will feature a mega musical multimedia show with performances by around 150 popular artists, including Sairam Dave. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, state cabinet ministers, and other dignitaries are expected to attend along with a large gathering of citizens.
According to BJP leaders, the play will highlight PM Modi’s journey from his early years to landmark initiatives such as Operation Sindoor. About 450 technicians, alongside the 150 artists, will bring the show to life. The event is expected to draw an estimated 50,000 attendees.
The celebration will feature a massive stage with elaborate props and a visual drone show, including representations of elephants, horses, trains, and crocodiles. For better viewing, seven LED screens have been installed near the Soneriya Block grounds. The multimedia show will last approximately 2 hours and 37 minutes, with entry allowed through passes categorized as Invitee, Platinum, and Gold. Six to seven entry gates will manage the crowd, and arrangements have also been made outside the venue for those unable to enter.
Traffic Advisory
Keeping the large crowd in mind, City Police Commissioner G S Malik issued a traffic advisory ahead of the event. The road from Bapunagar General Hospital to Soneriya Block (near Sheth CL School three-way junction) will remain closed to all vehicles.
Alternative routes have been suggested: via Ramini Chali Circle towards Rakhial from Soneriya Block three-way junction; from Prakash Petrol Pump via Lakshmi Narayan Society towards SBI Bank junction; and from LB Stadium via Limda Chowk towards Rakhial Machhi Market.
The restrictions will remain in effect from 2 PM on Monday until the event concludes on September 17. Emergency vehicles, including police, fire services, and ambulances, will be exempt. Violators may face action under relevant provisions of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Gujarat Police Act. DeshGujarat
