PCI Chief Montu Patel Loses Membership of Gujarat Pharmacy Council

Ahmedabad: The state health and family welfare department has initiated the process to remove Montu Patel from his position as chairman of the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) by cancelling his primary membership in the Gujarat State Pharmacy Council.
Patel recently came under scrutiny following a CBI search linked to alleged corruption in the PCI.
According to reports, in a letter issued by the health and family welfare department of Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli on July 23, the nomination of Montukumar Patel was halted. The notification further stated that Patel has been removed as a member of the Gujarat State Pharmacy Council. DeshGujarat
