Gandhinagar: The Gandhinagar unit of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today nabbed two outsourced employees of the Gandhinagar Urban Development Authority (GUDA) in connection with a bribery case.
The accused, Rohan Bhai Kishorbhai Parker, was posted as Supervisor (Civil Engineer), Outsourced, while Nayankumar Amrutlal Parmar was working as a Junior Clerk at GUDA.
According to the ACB, the complainant had applied for a house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana at GUDA, Gandhinagar. When the complainant’s application was still in the waiting list, the accused allegedly demanded ₹70,000 to expedite file clearance and release the property documents and keys. The complainant approached the ACB instead of paying the bribe.
During the trap operation, accused Nayankumar engaged in a pre-planned conversation with the complainant, while accused Rohan accepted the bribe money. Both were immediately apprehended on the spot for misusing their official authority and involvement in corrupt practices. DeshGujarat
