September 30, 2025
Gandhinagar: After two days of heavy rainfall across several talukas of Gujarat, rain on Tuesday occurred only in a few areas and was very insignificant. According to the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC), rainfall was recorded between 6 am and 4 pm, with Bhavnagar, Sabarkantha, Kachchh, and Devbhumi Dwarka among the districts receiving the highest precipitation.
Only five talukas in the state witnessed 10 mm of rain, with Bhavnagar’s Mahuva taluka recording 10 mm (0.39 inch) of rainfall. Sabarkantha’s Vijaynagar and Kachchh’s Mandvi also received 10 mm (0.39 inch) each. Devbhumi Dwarka’s Dwarka and Una in Gir Somnath also saw 10 mm. Other areas such as Anand (Khambhat) recorded 9 mm (0.35 inch), and Kachchh (Anjar) received 9 mm (0.35 inch).
Only 48 talukas out of 252 in the state witnessed rainfall. However, the light intensity brings good news for Garba lovers, as if the weather remains like this until evening, the Garba events that were called off over the past two days might be able to resume. DeshGujarat
