Traffic Diversions Announced Near Surat Railway Station till 31st Dec

Surat: The Surat Integrated Transportation Development Corporation Limited (SITCO) has begun work to connect the flyover near the railway station with the Varachha flyover, prompting changes in traffic management. Surat Police Commissioner Anupamsinh Gahlot has issued a public notice extending the closure of certain roads until 31 December 2025.
The road from Central Warehouse Tran Rasta to Vaishali Circle towards Surat, which passes near the bridge construction site, will remain closed for all types of vehicles until the mentioned date. According to the Commissioner’s notice, alternative routes have been designated to ensure smooth traffic flow. This decision has been taken in view of ongoing development work around the railway station.
Details of Alternative Routes:
A) For vehicles excluding heavy trucks and private luxury buses:
Vehicles coming from Hirabag Junction towards Surat Station can take a left from Central Warehouse, proceed via Vasant Bhikhani Wadi, turn right through Nirmal Chhaya Compound, pass through Trikam Nagar and Siddharth Nagar Khayti, then via Ugam Nagar Three Roads, JB Diamond Circle, Lambe Hanuman Police Chowki, and Podar Arcade, finally reaching Ayurvedic Garnala to access Surat Station.
B) For vehicles heading towards Umiyamata Circle and Mangadh Chowk area:
Vehicles from Hirabag Junction can take Mini Bazar Tran Rasta, turn right, and proceed via Mangadh Chowk Char Rasta to reach their destinations.
C) Restrictions for heavy trucks and luxury buses:
Heavy trucks and private luxury buses will not be permitted to travel from Hirabag Circle towards Mini Bazar or Central Warehouse Tran Rasta at any time (24×7).
D) Alternate route for heavy vehicles during exemption period:
Heavy trucks and luxury buses can use Vallabhacharya Road → Gaushala Circle → Katargam → Kapodra → Gayatri Circle → Seetanagar → Bombay Market to reach their destinations.
