Traffic diversion announced in Ahmedabad for Bullet Train Project work

Ahmedabad: As part of the ongoing Ahmedabad-Mumbai Bullet Train project, work will be carried out on the Sabarmati Riverfront (East) road, from Daphnala towards the Swaminarayan Temple (Naranganth), next to the railway bridge, involving the installation of segments (casting) on the bullet train pillars. Keeping city traffic in mind, the Ahmedabad Traffic Police today announced a diversion on this road along with alternative routes. The work is scheduled to continue from 1st November 2025 to 10th June 2026.

The agency executing the work will construct a new 100-meter service road from Shambhu Coffee Bar to the bullet train pillars. During this period, the existing 100-meter single-lane road will be closed, and traffic will be diverted via the newly constructed service road and the main road.

Road Closed for Vehicular Movement:

The approximately 100-meter single-lane stretch from Shambhu Coffee Bar to the bullet train pillars on the Sabarmati Riverfront (East) road, between Daphnala and the Swaminarayan Temple (Naranganth), will be closed for vehicles.

Alternative Route:

Traffic coming from Daphnala towards the railway overbridge will continue on the existing lane of the Riverfront road. Additionally, the new 100-meter road being constructed near Shambhu Coffee Bar by the agency will serve as a second lane, allowing vehicles to move regularly on this stretch. DeshGujarat
