October 21, 2025
Gandhinagar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the newly constructed MLA quarters in Sector-17 of the state capital on October 23. Built at a cost of ₹220 crore, the project replaces the old MLA quarters that once stood at the same site.
The project, which began in 2021, has developed a total of 216 modern, air-conditioned 4BHK residences across 12 towers, each with nine floors, covering an area of approximately 28,366 square metres.
Each flat includes two master bedrooms, a living room, two additional bedrooms, a kitchen, dining area, waiting room, and a small office space. There’s also a separate room for household staff.
According to officials, the complex includes amenities such as landscaped gardens, a community hall, health club, auditorium, canteen, and recreational spaces for children and senior citizens. The police and administrative departments are making extensive arrangements for the inauguration, which coincides with the auspicious occasion of Bhai Bij.
Located close to the Secretariat and Assembly, the new housing complex offers enhanced convenience for legislators. DeshGujarat
