Ahmedabad: A fire broke out at the IT server building within the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) campus in Ahmedabad, prompting an immediate response from the city’s fire brigade. The blaze is believed to have originated on the upper floor of the building situated near the main gate of the ISRO complex.
Four fire engines were dispatched to the spot, and firefighters successfully brought the flames under control within a short period. Thankfully, no injuries or casualties were reported, and all employees inside the building were safely evacuated as a precaution.
Preliminary findings indicate that an electrical short circuit could have triggered the fire, though the exact cause remains under investigation. Officials confirmed that the flames damaged several computers and IT equipment, causing significant loss to the infrastructure. The extent of the damage is currently being evaluated.
Reports suggest that the affected servers contained crucial data, prompting an internal inquiry to determine both the cause of the incident and the magnitude of the loss. DeshGujarat
