WhatsApp Chatbot Service of Ahmedabad Smart City Project Temporarily Offline
October 29, 2025
Ahmedabad: The WhatsApp complaint number (7567855303) under the Citizen Complaint Redressal System (CCRS) Project has been temporarily suspended due to technical issues, Smart City Ahmedabad Development Limited (SCADL) announced on Wednesday.
The suspension follows Meta’s decision to discontinue support for the WhatsApp Business On-Premise API client, necessitating migration to the new Cloud API platform. Officials said migration work is being carried out urgently in line with WhatsApp’s updated policy, and the chatbot service will resume once the transition is complete.
Under the CCRS Project, citizens can register complaints related to road, water, drainage, garbage, and streetlight services through multiple channels — including the Telephonic Helpline (155303), Twitter (@AMC_Complaints), SMS (send “AMCCRS NEW” to 56767), E-Mail (ccrs@ahmedabadcity.gov.in), the CCRS website (www.amccrs.com), and the CCRS Citizen Mobile App.
According to officials, around 85% of citizen complaints are received through the helpline (155303), about 10% via platforms like Twitter, SMS, Email, Website, and Mobile App, and roughly 5% through WhatsApp.
Authorities clarified that all other complaint channels remain fully operational, and citizens’ grievances are being addressed as usual. Residents are requested to take note of this temporary suspension and use alternate channels to lodge complaints until the WhatsApp service is restored. DeshGujarat
