Morbi: In recent times, the trend of posting pictures and videos with weapons on social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, has increased. One such act landed two individuals from Morbi in jail. The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Morbi Police arrested the duo for creating fear in society by uploading content featuring single-barrel muzzle-loading rifles on Instagram. The weapons were seized, and action was taken under relevant sections of the Arms Act.

The posts appeared on the Instagram account deshi_boy_baval. The Morbi SOG traced the account to the user and arrested Bavalbhai Vitthalbhai Detroja near Palasan Chowkdi. During questioning, the accused admitted that two years ago, he had uploaded a picture with a licensed weapon belonging to his relative, Manjibhai Ughreja, on Instagram.

Both accused were arrested, and a case was registered under the Arms Act. Police seized a single-barrel muzzle-loading weapon valued at Rs 10,000, along with mobile phones and other items worth Rs 15,000. DeshGujarat
