Gujarat to hold dedicated camps as part of SIR exercise
November 18, 2025
Gandhinagar: The Gujarat Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) has announced that special camps will be held across all districts to register senior citizens, persons with disabilities and members of nomadic and denotified tribes as part of the ongoing intensive voter list revision, which continues until December 4.
CEO Hareet Shukla has directed district election officers to work with the Social Justice and Empowerment Department to ensure smooth enumeration and to inform citizens in advance about the camps. Voluntary organisations have also raised concerns, noting that many individuals from denotified tribes lack documents to prove their residence in 2002, the CEO’s office said. DeshGujarat
