₹43 crore works set for Madhavpur Ghed Yatradham Phase-2 Redevelopment

Porbandar: The Shri Krishna – Rukshmani Yatra Dham at Madhavpur Ghed is undergoing major revamps. As part of the second phase of development, projects worth over ₹43 crore will be launched to enhance facilities for pilgrims.
Under the second phase, the government will undertake the reconstruction of the Shri Madhavrayji Temple, develop a 300-metre dedicated parking area near the temple, and strengthen essential infrastructure around the temple. The plan also includes widening the road from the turtle breeding centre to the temple, installing food kiosks and toilets, and creating public amenities such as landscaped zones, sculptures, fountains, signages, and selfie points along the beach.
The Yatradham is undergoing a total redevelopment of ₹91 crore, covering key spiritual sites spread across Madhavpur village. In the first phase, projects worth approximately ₹48 crore, including the development of the Shri Rukshmani Mata Temple, the Chori Mayra site, beach development on the road leading to the Madhavrayji Temple, the Brahma Kund, and the fairground were inaugurated earlier by the Chief Minister.
According to the Gujarat Pilgrimage Development Board, the upgraded facilities will significantly improve convenience for devotees and visitors, further boosting Gujarat’s spiritual tourism sector. DeshGujarat
