ACB Gujarat nabs Mamlatdar office staffer, aides in bribe case

Gir Somnath: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today nabbed a contractual employee of Talala Mamlatdar’s office along with two accomplices in a bribery case.
The accused, Mahendra alias Mayurbhai Vasabhai Patat, 40, a contractual computer operator in the Supply Branch of the Mamlatdar’s Office, Talala, was trapped accepting Rs. 1,200 as a bribe. Two local accomplices, Alpeshbhai Ishwardas Dudharejia, 32, and Sanjaybhai Bhupatbhai Waja, 31, were also involved in facilitating the transaction.
According to the ACB, the accused had demanded the bribe from the complainant for E-KYC services in a ration card. Acting on the complaint, the ACB arranged a trap at the accused’s office, during which Mahendra Patat accepted the bribe while the other two assisted, leading to their arrest. The bribe amount of Rs. 1,200 was recovered in full. DeshGujarat
