Ahmedabad, Vadodara record slight drop in mercury but nights stay warmer across Gujarat

Ahmedabad: After several days of a rising trend, minimum temperatures in a few parts of Gujarat recorded a slight dip on Friday, bringing marginal relief from unusually warm early-winter conditions. However, most places in the Saurashtra–Kutch region continued to see a rise in night temperatures.
According to the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) observations at 0830 IST, many stations reported lower minimum temperatures compared to Thursday. Ahmedabad’s minimum temperature declined from 21.1°C on Thursday to 20.4°C on Friday, while Gandhinagar also saw a drop from 20.8°C to 19.6°C.
Vadodara recorded a steeper fall, with the minimum temperature decreasing from 21.2°C to 18.6°C, while Deesa reported 20.8°C, slightly up from 20.3°C the previous day.
In contrast, in Saurashtra, Rajkot’s minimum temperature spiked from 18.0°C to 18.6°C, Amreli from 19.2°C to 19.4°C, and Bhavnagar saw a marginal fall from 21.0°C to 20.6°C. Coastal towns also reported a mild cooling trend, with Veraval at 22.2°C, Diu at 19.6°C, and Dwarka at 20.2°C.
Bhuj recorded 16.6°C, compared to 16.0°C the previous day, while Naliya reported 15.0°C, up from 13.6°C, yet continuing to remain one of the coldest locations in the state.
Despite the minor ups and downs in minimum temperatures, maximum temperatures stayed close to normal across most stations, with Ahmedabad at 31.4°C, Surat at 33.6°C, Rajkot at 33.3°C, and Bhavnagar at 31.5°C.
Humidity levels showed typical early-winter variation, with morning relative humidity generally higher than evening readings across the state. No rainfall was reported at any station. DeshGujarat
