Security guard collapses during BJP chief JP Nadda’s speech in Vadodara

Vadodara: During ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s national president and union minister JP Nadda’s speech here earlier on Saturday, a security guard posted at the event suddenly collapsed. The security guard collapsed right in front of the stage when Nadda’s speech was near its end.

While Nadda continued his speech and all other leaders on the stage also visibly ignored it, the photographer and other security staff rushed to fainted security guard and took him for medical attention. The guard was reportedly attached to Minister of State for Railways and Food Processing Industries Ravneet Singh Bittu who was also present on the stage.

Initial information suggests the guard may have fainted due to exhaustion or other physical discomfort caused by standing continuously for a long period. Other security personnel immediately rushed him to a nearby facility for medical attention.

Officials later confirmed that the guard’s condition is stable and he is now doing well. On social media netizens criticized Nadda for continuing speech and not taking pause or not passing instructions after a security guard collapsed. Netizens called behavior of leaders on the stage “insensitive”, as none of them rushed or moved to help the collapsed guard. Only one leader who was seen on foot to help the security guard was the Standing Committer Chairman of Vadodara Municipal Corporation, Shital Mistry who was in the audience in the front row.

As part of the celebrations marking the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the ‘Sardar @ 150 Rashtriya Ekta Yatra’, which began from Karamsad, entered Vadodara city on Saturday. Various residential societies, organizations, and religious institutions across the city welcomed the yatra with enthusiasm. DeshGujarat
