Night Temperatures Fluctuate Across Gujarat; Ahmedabad Up to 16.8°C, Rajkot Down to 14.3°C

Ahmedabad: Minimum temperatures across Gujarat fluctuated on Tuesday, with some districts seeing a rise in mercury while others recorded a dip. The lowest temperature in the state was 11°C in Naliya, making it the coldest location in Gujarat.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD)’s 8:30 am bulletin, most stations reported minimum temperatures between 14°C and 19°C, with a few pockets witnessing below-normal readings.
Naliya in Kutch recorded a minimum of 11°C, a 1°C rise from Monday, yet still 2.2°C below normal, keeping the night chilly. Rajkot also experienced cooler conditions at 14.3°C, down by 1.7°C from normal. Amreli, Kandla, Porbandar, and Dwarka reported slight dips as well, with minimums ranging between 13.8°C and 18.6°C.
Bhuj registered 14.8°C, marginally 0.4°C above normal, while Deesa in north Gujarat reported 15.2°C, 1.7°C above normal, reflecting mixed temperature trends across the region.
In central Gujarat, Ahmedabad recorded a minimum temperature of 16.8°C, which is 1.6°C above normal and also a rise from the previous day. Similarly, Vadodara and Gandhinagar stood at 15.8°C, with Vadodara matching its normal and Gandhinagar remaining slightly above it.
Surat too saw a rise, reporting 18.6°C, around 0.4°C above normal, while coastal cities like Bhavnagar (18°C) and Veraval (18.9°C) continued to experience moderate night temperatures.
The IMD report confirmed no rainfall at any of the reporting stations in the past 24 hours. Humidity levels varied significantly, with higher morning readings in cities such as Vadodara (83%) and Bhavnagar (81%), while evening humidity dropped notably across many areas. DeshGujarat
