Police probe underway after ‘kidnapping’ of Hindu girl in Dahod

Dahod: A complaint has been registered at the Sanjeli police station regarding the alleged kidnapping of a college-going Hindu girl from Sanjeli taluka in Dahod district. According to the complaint, the Hindu girl was allegedly abducted by a Muslim youth while she was on her way to college in Randhikpur.
The incident has triggered widespread anger in Sanjeli, including among the girl’s family. Members of Hindu organisations gathered at the police station in large numbers, demanding the immediate arrest of the accused and strict legal action. In view of the tense situation, a police convoy, including the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) and divisional police personnel, rushed to the Sanjeli police station and made necessary arrangements to maintain law and order. Police officials held discussions with the protesters to defuse tensions.
Police have launched a search operation to trace the girl and have begun a detailed investigation into all aspects of the incident based on the complaint. DeshGujarat
