One person sustained serious injuries and has been admitted to a hospital for treatment. Police arrived immediately after the incident and have launched a detailed investigation.

The pilgrims were traveling from Deodar taluka in Banaskantha district to the temple town of Dwarka. They had taken an overnight halt at Sapeshwar Mahadev temple near Sarvad village in Maliya. In the early morning, while resuming their foot pilgrimage, a truck—reportedly moving at high speed—hit them.

The deceased have been taken for post-mortem, and their bodies will be handed over to their families afterward. The truck driver has reportedly been taken into police custody. Authorities are investigating whether alcohol consumption or other factors contributed to the accident.

In a separate accident early this morning near Hadala village in Bagasara, Amreli district, three people died when a car overturned and entered a nearby field. Preliminary reports suggest that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn.

Local residents alerted the fire brigade, which reached the scene and extricated the trapped passengers after significant effort. One person sustained serious injuries and has been admitted to a nearby hospital.

The deceased have been identified as Vikas from Junagadh, Manthan from Jalansar village of Dhoraji taluka, and Dharmesh Savaliya. The bodies have been shifted to Junagadh Hospital for post-mortem. Bagasara police have registered a case and are conducting further investigations. Police have confirmed that all three victims were family members returning home to Junagadh at night. DeshGujarat
