Adani Gas cuts CNG price by ₹1.21 per kg
January 02, 2026
Ahmedabad: The New Year has brought some relief for auto-rickshaw drivers and car owners using CNG, as Adani Gas Total on Wednesday reduced compressed natural gas (CNG) prices by ₹1.21 per kg. Following the cut, the retail price of CNG in Ahmedabad has come down to ₹81.17 per kg from ₹82.38, which had remained unchanged since August last year.
The reduction comes after four consecutive price hikes last year, which had cumulatively increased CNG prices by ₹3.40 per kg.
Earlier, the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) had announced that from January 1, 2026, transportation CNG prices would be cut by up to ₹4 per kg, while domestic piped natural gas (PNG-D) rates would be reduced by up to ₹4 per standard cubic metre (SCM) following the implementation of a new tariff order.
However, Adani Gas Total, which also supplies piped gas in Ahmedabad, is yet to announce the exact reduction in PNG prices. DeshGujarat
